Dr. Shinwari is a board-certified oral surgeon, having completed rigorous training and testing in order to be recognized for his dedication, knowledge, and experience in his field. Obtaining board certification means graduating from dental or medical school, then completing four to six years of residency training before completing an extensive written and oral examination. You can be sure that whatever your dental needs are, the treatment you’ll receive will meet the highest standards of care.
Where Did You Study Oral Surgery?
Dr. Shinwari completed his initial dental education at the University of Peshawar in Pakistan. After coming to the United States, he was part of the team at the UCLA Weintraub Research Center that invented groundbreaking technology in dental implantology and osseointegration. He then received additional training in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery at Boston University, studying at both Boston Medical Center and Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center in Boston.
