Dental Patient Information – Dumfries, VA
Getting Ready for Your Appointment
Whatever your reasons are for visiting the Oral & Facial Surgery Center of Virginia, our team is ready to lend a guiding hand. On this page, you’ll learn more about the specifics of your first visit, what you can do to prepare ahead of time, and financial considerations that you’ll need to make. If there’s anything else you want to know beforehand or if you don’t understand something on this page, give our state-of-the-art specialty dental office a call.
Your First Visit
The way the first visit plays out depends on your situation. If you’re in good health and have already received a treatment plan from your dentist, sometimes we can perform the procedure on the same day as your consultation. (Note that this isn’t usually the case for more involved surgeries like dental implant placement.) In any case, you can expect your first visit to include an examination, a consultation about the procedure, and a thorough review of your medical and dental history.
New Patient Forms
Before the day of your appointment, we ask you to download our new patient forms using the link below and fill them out whenever you have the time at home. Filling out the necessary paperwork now instead of waiting until you get to our oral surgery office will save you a lot of time and get you into the treatment area faster.
Pre-Op & Post-Op Forms
In addition, we want to provide you with helpful details regarding what to expect before and after your oral surgery. For your convenience, simply download the forms below and feel prepared!
Medical & Dental Insurance Welcome
Our team works with both medical and dental insurance; not only can we file your claims for you, but we can answer any questions you might have about the process, such as what benefits are available to you and which type of insurance best suits your situation. Third-Party Financing Available
If you’re not sure whether you’re going to be able to pay for your procedure on your own, we can help you apply for CareCredit or LendingClub. These are both third-party companies that offer a number of low-to-no interest financing plans that patients can choose from based on their personal budgets. A financing plan lets you pay in installments instead of all at once, which can ultimately make your care much more affordable.
